The chic venue already spoke for itself when I crossed through the tea area at the Le Grand Hotel

 on Rue Scribe to get to the show space, where were up for a treat. An interesting mix of Thonet

 inspired knitted pieces and diamond shapes kind of treat. It had a bit of an ethnic (can´t stand that

 word) vibe, with a funky touch which turned out to be Cuban inspired. I can´t imagine Balmain Haute
 Couture being much different to this... No doubt Balmain has made a great spin since Olivier
 Rousteing is the creative director of the house, making it young, keeping it sexy yet all under control.

El lugar tan especial ya hablaba por si mismo cuando cruzamos el salón de te del Le Grand Hotel en

 Rue Scribe para llegar al lugar del desfile, donde nos esperaba un buen homenaje. Un homenaje tipo

 mezcla de crochet Thonet con rombos. Tenía un poco de etnico (no puedo con éste término), con un

 toque funky y todo resultó ser inspiración Cubana. No me imagino Balmain Alta Costura mucho más
 diferente a esto... No hay duda de que Balmain a hecho un giro tremendo desde que Olivier Rousteing
 es el director creativo de la casa, volviéndola joven, manténiendola sexy pero todo bajo control.
